The Ministry of Educational Development and Vocational Training, through the Andalusian Public Agency for Education, has tendered the expansion and reform works of the La Paz de Las Norias de Daza Early Childhood and Primary Education Center (CEIP), in El Ejido (Almería), for an amount of 785,355.24 euros. The deadline for submitting offers for interested companies ends on August 24.
The objective of the action is to provide the La Paz school with its own spaces for a C1 typology center -with a line for children and primary-given that the demand for schooling in the area has increased.
Thus, the works will consist, on the one hand, of expanding the center through the construction of three infant classrooms with built-in toilets and an adapted toilet. On the other hand, an elevator will be installed and the spaces on the ground floor will be redistributed to create a secretarial and archive room, a dining room with a kitchen, common spaces for infant students and a small group classroom.
In addition, other interventions will be carried out modernization of interior and exterior elements. Inside the existing building, the toilets, the electrical installation, the lights, the carpentry and the painting in general will be renewed. Finally, in the exterior areas, the facades will be reformed, the fence will be closed, the patio will be resurfaced and the sports court will be replaced.
This intervention is included in the Educational Infrastructure Plan executed by the Andalusian Public Agency for Education, and has European co-financing through REACT-EU funds, within the Andalusian FEDER Operational Program 2014-2020, as part of the response of the European Union to the Covid-19 pandemic.
