The organization intends to pay tribute to the three people killed in a shooting outside its premises on Friday in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.
A new gathering. The Kurdish Democratic Council in France convenes this Monday a march in tribute to the victims killed on Friday in the rue d’Enghien, in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.
The meeting is held on the site of the tragedy, at noon. The procession will then leave towards 147 rue Lafayette, where three Kurdish activists were murdered in the night between 9 and 10 January 2013.
This Saturday, a demonstration took place on the Place de la République, where thousands of people, members of the Kurdish community and supporters, flocked to honor the memory of the victims and denounce the tragedy. Clashes had also broken out on the sidelines of the demonstration, on the Boulevard du Temple.
The suspect, a 69-year-old man who told investigators he acted out of racism, was arrested again on Sunday after a stint in the police station’s psychiatric infirmary. On Monday he will be presented to an investigating judge for an indictment.
