The Kronoshpan Foundation will once again finance outstanding projects of Burgas schools and universities – 2024-03-14 15:15:49

Two projects, respectively from the PGSAG “Kole Ficheto” and from the University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” Burgas, will receive funding from the “Kronoshpan” foundation, which for the third year in a row gave innovative students and pupils the opportunity to participate with their developments in the international competition “skill.ED” 2023.

A total of 21 projects from schools and universities from all over the country participated in the next edition of the competition.

All participants expressed their concepts for improving the educational process in the school or university on whose behalf they participate.

The awarded project of PGSAG “Kole Ficheto” is “Upgrading the construction laboratory – a way to expand the scope of mechanical properties of materials and laboratory tests”.

An important detail is that the equipment of the existing school laboratory was provided by the victory in a previous edition of the competition, proof that the good partnership between the educational institution and the Kronoshpan Foundation is sustainable and continues over time.

In turn, University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” participated in the project “Influence of additives to biofuels on the characteristics of the internal combustion engine”. The development is a response to the transport sector’s search for a solution to the problem of reducing fuel consumption and the amount and toxicity of exhaust gases.

Burgas innovators defend the thesis that this can be achieved by using modern advanced fuel systems and alternative fuels. The goal they set for their project was to quantify the change in performance of an internal combustion engine using fuel blends with biofuel and other fuel additives.

This will be made possible by creating a laboratory for testing internal combustion engines.

The two projects will receive a total of 20,000 euros from the “Kronoshpan” Foundation, for their implementation and achievement of the main goals of the initiative, namely support and improvement of the quality of general, professional and technical education.
