The Kremlin warned on Saturday (13.07.2024) that the choice introduced this week to deploy long-range US missiles in Germany may make European capitals a goal for Russia.
“Europe is the goal of our missiles, our nation is the goal of American missiles in Europe. We have now already skilled this. We have now the power to cease these missiles, however the potential victims are the capitals of those European international locations,” stated Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
On the NATO summit, Washington and Berlin introduced on Wednesday that they may start the focused deployment of US long-range missiles in Germany in 2026.
This plan contains the deployment of SM-6 missiles, Tomahawk missiles and hypersonic weapons below growth, which can enhance the vary of the projectiles at present deployed in Europe.
