The study, coordinated by an international consortium of investigative journalists and involving more than 650 journalists from dozens of media outlets, used 11.9 million documents leaked from 14 financial services companies around the world. The study was published on Sunday.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin it does not explicitly mention it, but reveals that he is involved through intermediaries in secret assets in Monaco, including a private house purchased by Svetlana Krivonogiha, who is reportedly having a child with Putin.

“This is just a set of unsubstantiated allegations,” a Kremlin spokesman said Dmitry Peskov, adding that the study said nothing about Putin’s closest people in secret wealth, and questioned whether the study could be believed.

The study says the four-million-dollar property in Monaco was bought through an offshore company in late 2003 in Krivonogih, which is reportedly having a relationship with Putin.

Russia’s research publication Projekt reported in November that Krivonogih had once worked as a cleaner and had a child with Putin.

A private house in Monaco bought her soon after giving birth, according to Pandora’s documents.

Last year, Projekt described him as a discreet millionaire who lives in the former St. Petersburg and has received expensive gifts from people associated with the Kremlin.

The study says that analysis of the photos using face recognition methods shows that Krivonogih’s daughter is very similar to Putin.

The Russian authorities this year declared Projekt an undesirable organization and banned the publication from operating in Russia.

Putin divorced his wife Lyudmila in 2013 and carefully protects his privacy.

An international consortium of investigative journalists has found links between nearly 1,000 offshore companies and 336 high-ranking politicians and officials, including more than a dozen current heads of state and government. More than two-thirds of these companies are registered in the British Virgin Islands.
