Dmitry Peskov believes that the obligation imposed by Russia to compensate for the damage caused is a “rabid russophobia”.
Poland’s statements about Russia’s reparations for damage caused during World War II are “rabid russophobia” and unhealthy political extremism. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, according to the Russian pro-government news agency. Interfax Monday 19 September.
“In Warsaw, unfortunately, a number of politicians are simply entering a kind of unhealthy political extremism, otherwise it can hardly be defined,” believes the Russian official.
According to him, Russian historians should probably “dig into the sixteenth century” to find “what to ask Poles”.
“If you joke about such a frenetic russophobia, maybe our historians need to dig into the 16th century, maybe we will also find something to ask the Poles,” Peskov says.
The day before, the Sejm of Poland on September 14 adopted a resolution calling on Germany to take responsibility for the damage caused to Poland during the Second World War, and compensate the Polish state.
Recall, Polish President Andrzej Duda said: Poland should seek war compensation for the damage caused during the Second World War, not only by Germany, but also from Russia.
