The withdrawal of troops was allegedly necessary for the negotiations.

The Kremlin reacted to the withdrawal of troops from the Kiev region and called it a “goodwill gesture.”

This was stated by Putin’s speaker Dmitry Peskov, writes Russian propaganda publication RIA Novosti.

According to him, the withdrawal of troops was allegedly necessary to create conditions aimed at negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian sides.

“The Russian authorities can make serious decisions during the negotiations, so the country’s President Vladimir Putin ordered the troops to leave the region,” Peskov said.
