The public can enjoy the concerts of popular performers at one of the largest and most outstanding concert venues in the region this year. Prominent performers of the domestic music scene take the stage every weekend, besides last year’s favorites – such as Magdi Rúzsa, Quimby, Carson Coma, Majka or Ákos – the Gyárkert is also expanding with new names, Klárí Balázs and György Korda, Dzúdló, The new favorite of young people, Pogány Induló, Hooligans and Hobo with a concert presenting the legendary Kopaszkutya record.

Last year, within the framework of the Cultural Capital of Europe project, the Gyárkert in Veszprém welcomed guests with a festival lasting the whole summer, and the series of events
it was not only a huge success among the locals, it also attracted viewers from the rest of the country, and there was a demand for a continuation.
This is precisely why the municipality of Veszprém decided to host concerts in Gyárkert, a popular venue established last year on the site of the former furniture factory.

Veszprém Card holders can get tickets earlier
– The Gyárkert was one of the most popular elements of the European Capital of Culture year, it was loved not only by the townspeople, but also attracted many people from the region to the city. This is a success that requires long-term planning. The success of the summer showed what the people of Veszprém really want to do with the area of the former furniture factory. This year, too, the program will be made up of the forefront of music life, and thanks to the support of the local government, those who would like to buy tickets will not have to calculate with market prices, but will be able to visit the concerts at a more favorable price. Those with a Veszprém Card can get their tickets 48 hours earlier, explained Gyula Porga, mayor of Veszprém.

The concert venue was not only loved by the audience, the performers were also satisfied with the conditions, many people compared the stage to Budapest Park. Veszprém 2030 Kft., the asset manager of the area, once again launched a tender for the operation of the Gyárkert, the results of which were announced last week, and the winner was Weekend Event Kft., which also operated the event venue last year.
– We are extremely proud that we have the opportunity to operate this event venue, which fills a gap in the region, this year as well. Last year proved how much demand there is for a venue with such great features and for the diverse cultural and musical offer, which features today’s pop music performers, from current names to living legends, said Zoltán Fülöp, one of the owners of Weekend Event Kft.
Ticket sales start on April 23, during the first 48 hours, only Veszprém Card holders are entitled to purchase discounted early bird tickets. Tickets will be available to the general public from April 25.

Quimby and Necc Party open the season of the Factory Garden
The Gyárkert will open the season with Necc Party on June 21, and Quimby will also arrive on the same weekend. In the coming weeks, Magdi Rúzsa, Beton.Hofi, Kispál and Borz, as well as Ákos will perform again, but as new Gyárkert performers Dzúdló, Punnany Massif, György Korda and Balázs Klári, Hobo, Bëlga and Hooligans will also take the stage during the summer . The Gyárkert’s program naturally also includes bands from Veszprém, who, when appropriate, provide a warm-up atmosphere before the main concerts. The list of performers is far from complete, the organizers promise to announce more names in the coming weeks.

Condensed bus and train transport adapted to the days of the concerts
Based on last year’s positive experience, the organizers have already started negotiations so that train and bus transport within the region will be available with condensed routes and extended schedules for the public visiting Gyárkert, adapted to the days of the concerts.
