For decades, the ensemble was a spiritual idyll: the Konradskapelle and the neighboring Fernblick building. Emeritus Catholic pastors lived in this house until 1983 and offered services, baptisms and weddings in the chapel. The whole thing was reminiscent of hermits who lived secluded in the forest and were therefore attractive to believers who sought concentration in prayer away from the city. In any case, the services in the chapel were well attended until the end. Fernblick House has now been demolished, and the chapel remains standing for the time being. Reason enough to remember a strange, beautiful place of prayer on the Hueler Berg.
The Konradskapelle’s reclusive inhabitants witness the demolition of House Fernblick.
