Regardless of their athletic status, the New York Knicks are always in the voices. The opposite would be almost creepy. This season, the franchise would particularly consider rebounding Tobit Harris in a trade with the Sixers.
The passage has been cited at least internally, by Ian Begley of SNY TV. The front office would have basically considered this option before going on an eight-game winning streak. Now, after a three-game losing streak – a real roller coaster – that idea has re-emerged.
Tobias Harris, for his part, finds himself very regularly in this type of rumor. In November, the Sixers also tested the market in view of a possible transfer, according to Atletico Madrid. It is therefore a realistic target for a team looking for wing reinforcements.

At 30, Harris is averaging 16.7 points and 6.2 rebounds on 49.3% shooting, including 40.5% from three-point range. These solid stats, coupled with significant defensive efforts, could seduce a competing franchise before the trade deadline. However, one obstacle stands in the way of a possible transaction: his salary of $37.6 million this season, then $39.3 million in 2023-2024.
However, his big contract isn’t an inevitable problem for the Knicks. New York may notably be moving Eva Fournierout of the rotation, still weighing in at $18 million in the salary cap. Derrick Rose (14.5 million) e Reddish cam (5.9 million) are also among the plausible counterparts.
Rumors surrounding Tobias Harris are now a tradition, as are those about him Myles Turner or John Collins. But who knows? With a little help from Pink Lion and its front office, 2023 could finally be the year of commerce.
