In a meeting held this week between the mayor José Otávio Germano, the secretary of sports, tourism and leisure, Vanessa Simon, and the representative group of Arrancadão Cachoeira, it was decided that the Arrancada KM track would be in an area of Ferreira, next to the Flying club. The news was already given by the mayor, who is directly related to the project, since it is a government commitment. The location was considered suitable for the initiative, suggested and approved by the representatives present, who already have a study for the road in this place.
The track will be used for one-kilometer endurance races for cars and motorcycles, as well as a veloterra track, another sport that needs more space in Cachoeira do Sul.
The same space will also have other uses. José Otávio has the idea that it is a multi-event venue, which can become a sambodrome during Carnival and host various other events, such as shows and car shows, among others. A place of leisure with the necessary infrastructure, lighting, toilets, patio and stands.
Before starting the runway project, it was determined that the Attorney General’s Office consult the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), because as the construction must be near the Aeroclub, the agency must grant authorization.
