In his article, “How much did Qatar spend to organize the World Cup?” In Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper, Al-Ahmadi says: “Long before the competitions started, I heard several astronomical numbers from different media sources.. I heard numbers ranging from 8 and 26 billion dollars, to 175 and 200 billion dollars!! You can choose any number that suits you because FIFA hasn’t invented a way to calculate the costs of football competitions. Any number can be correct because it will only express part of the truth!!
