The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jose Manuel Albareshas highlighted the High Level Meeting between Spain and Morocco, in which the greatest number of agreements signed and with the greatest number of representatives of both countries has been produced. “The King of Morocco never participates in a High Level Meetingl”, emphasizes Albares. The minister explains that it is a meeting between governments in which, “in front of the ministers that we travel, there is also the president of the Government on behalf of Spain and the Moroccan head of government”.
Albares assures that it has been the meeting between Spain and Morocco in which the most agreements have been reached. And he remarks that “mark a before and after” in relations between the two countries. “We have strengthened a political dialogue on very clear principles: mutual respect, mutual benefit, permanent communication and the absence of unilateral actions,” he explains.
The minister has taken advantage of the criticism in the absence of the King of Morocco to refer to the leader of the Popular Party (PP), Alberto Núñez Feijóo. “It hurts me, as a Spaniard and not as a ministerthat charges against what all the presidents and ministers of Foreign Affairs have described as a priority: the relationship with Morocco”, he lamented.
