Crossover Stonic underwent a rejuvenation procedure in the summer, which is now jeweled by a new level of equipment – the sporty GT Line.
–
The main goal of the Stonic GT Line is to look sportier, but according to the brand’s designers, it also learned from models such as Stinger, Ceed GT whose ProCeed GT. Unlike classic siblings, you can recognize it at first sight. The others are front and rear bumpers, integrated fog lights, but the main difference is the three significant air intakes at the bow.

Also unique is the “tiger” radiator grille and black painting of the exterior mirrors. GT Line models receive new full-LED headlights with a characteristic light signature as standard. The more pronounced rear bumper adorns the rear diffuser and the double tailpipes, both of which are fake.

Kia states that a third of the Stonics sold so far had a two-tone body design, so it’s no surprise that the sporty look offers the same option. The color variants are extended by the edging of three intake openings in the front bumper, which are always matched to the shade of the roof. As a bonus, a novelty is coming on 17 “aluminum alloy wheels.
“Stonic has been very successful since the start of sales in Europe, as over 150,000 of these cars have been sold here (since 2017). In 2019, it also became our fourth best-selling model in Europe. The new GT Line design presents the best of Stonic and comes with a design inspired by the most powerful representatives of our model range, ” said Emilio Herrera, COO of Kia Motors Europe.

The Stonic GT Line will go into production at the Kia Sohari plant in Korea in October this year. The company announces that the car will be available with a 1.0 T-GDI engine, including a mild-hybrid variant. But we still have to wait for further technical details. Sales on European markets will be launched during the last quarter of 2020, and those interested can continue to count on an attractive seven-year warranty limited to 150,000 kilometers.
