As it became known “BUSINESS Online”, the KHL recognized the removal of the forward of “Ak Bars” Dmitry Voronkov, which became decisive in the KHL regular championship match with Salavat Yulaev.
Recall that the judges sent off the Kazan team’s striker 1 minute and 48 seconds before the end of the third period when the score was 2: 2 for the attack of the player who did not own the puck. Voronkov on someone else’s blue line touched with a club Danila Bashkirova… The player of “Salavat Yulaev” stayed on his feet, but after a moment he stumbled and fell on the ice. The referee team led by Sergey Morozov and Ivan Fateev after the meeting she punished Voronkova with a small fine.
One second before the end of main time Alexander Kadeikin nicely realized the numerical majority and brought “Salavat Yulaev” victory – 3: 2.
“I agree, the point is controversial. I got up on one leg in a second and felt that I was being pushed from behind. The push cannot be called strong. A controversial point. But I didn’t pretend ”- said Bashkirov after the match. It would be strange if he said otherwise.
Ak Bars head coach Dmitry Kvartalnov said that the player of “Salavat” stumbled and the referees broke the game… Moreover, earlier in the course of the match, in less obvious moments the players of the Kazan team Mikhail Glukhov and Andrey Pedan removed for simulations. In the episode with Bashkirov, the judges were inconsistent. Perhaps that is why the Leopard defender Pedan could not calm down for a long time and after the final whistle ran into a 20-minute disciplinary penalty, due to which he was disqualified for one match.
According to our publication, along with the removal of Voronkov, the KHL admitted the referees’ mistake in two more episodes. They didn’t whistle Rodion Amirov high hockey game and missed a blow from Teemu Hartikainein.
What does admission of mistakes from the KHL give? By and large, nothing. Perhaps some of the arbitrators will be temporarily suspended from work. The result of the match remains in force, and the fans of the teams will still continue their fierce showdown in the comments. Unless the players and coaches of “Ak Bars” can calm themselves a little – they lost because of a referee’s error. And they lost an important 2 points (or at least 1 point for overtime) in the correspondence battle with CSKA for the victory in the regular season.
