Doha: The Katara Dhow Festival concluded with a reminder of the heritage of coastal life. Exhibitors from 12 countries including India participated this time. The Katara Dau Festival concluded by shedding light on the lives of the older generation who made a living by pearling and fishing.
The festival touched on all aspects of coastal life and showcased a variety of products from handlooms to pearls. Boats including those from India also came to the exhibition. Haji PI Ahmad Koya Company from Kozhikode represented India this time as well.
Many people, including foreigners, have come to Katara to enjoy the Doufestival sights. Various sea-related competitions and cultural events were organized as part of the festival.
