The Karoq Škoda Facelift will be unveiled this month. What to expect from him?

The Škoda Karoq was introduced four years ago, and that means only one thing in the automotive world. The time of modernization is coming. And she will introduce herself soon!

The compact SUV Škoda Karoq came on the market in 2017 as an indirect successor to the Yeti model. Against him, it not only changed its name, but also grew considerably and fundamentally changed its style. After four years on the market, it turns out to be a successful step. For the year 2020 and the first half of this year, the Karoq is the best-selling SUV of the Mladá Boleslav brand and for the given period also the second best-selling Škoda model ever, after the Octavia.

But time is relentless, so after four years of production and the creation of more than 500,000 pieces of this model, it is time to modernize. And it is really around the corner, Škoda has confirmed that the facelift of the Karoq model will be presented on Tuesday, November 30.

Despite the upcoming premiere, however, we do not know much about the modernized Karoq. Due to sales successes and recent, rather a decent facelift of the larger Kodiaq however, we do not expect any major stylistic changes. It only offers a modification of the radiator grille in the style of a bigger brother or a redesign of the headlights. At the rear, we assume a modified bumper or other tail lights.

Following the example of the larger Kodiaq, a terrain-oriented Scout variant could be dropped from the menu. As with the larger SUV, there is low customer interest in this design.

There is a lot of talk today about the need for the best possible aerodynamics, in order to reduce fuel consumption as much as possible. After all, the recently modernized Duster improved aerodynamics. Also with the modernized Karoq, we expect that its shapes are strongly influenced by aerodynamics. There is a redesigned roof spoiler, an active grille in the front radiator or aerodynamic wheels. What about the one presented at Kodiaq?

We do not expect a fundamental change even inside. However, it is offered that Karoq will already receive a digital instrument panel as standard, which is one of today’s trends. Multimedia systems should then be taken from Octavia. On the other hand, today’s Karoq already has a two-spoke steering wheel.
