The Junta de Castilla y León and the Social and Economic Agents constitute the Table of the Employment Plan 2021 where the active employment policies will be specified | Communication

The Minister of Employment and Industry, Ana Carlota Amigo, has chaired this morning the meeting of the Social Dialogue that has served to constitute the Table of the Employment Plan of Castilla y León 2021, where the lines that will be developed throughout this year in matters of Employment, Training, Occupational Health and Safety, Conciliation and Equality. The negotiating table must specify in the coming weeks the programs that the Junta de Castilla y León will develop to improve employment and advance in labor integration and social cohesion.

Ehe Employment Plan for Castilla y León 2021 (PAECYL) is the document that will set the guidelines for the active employment policies of the Junta de Castilla y León for this year, establishing both the different lines of action as well as their objectives and their allocation budgetary. The Plan includes the initiatives that will be carried out to promote the maintenance and creation of employment, improve the training and professional qualification of workers and the unemployed, advance in occupational health and safety, and promote equal opportunities and work-life balance.

The document and the development of the measures that are agreed with the social and economic agents of the Social Dialogue will be marked by the cooperation between the ministries with competencies to implement the different programs. In this sense, the work table is made up of the Ministries of Employment and Industry, Education and Family and Equal Opportunities, together with the representatives of CEOE Castilla y León and the trade union organizations UGT and CCOO. The objective is to configure a cross-cutting and social strategy that allows progress in improving employment and social and territorial cohesion.

During the constitution of the Board, the Minister of Employment and Industry has insisted on the importance of this document as a set of organized and coordinated measures that should serve to alleviate the consequences that the crisis is causing in the labor market and contribute to Castilla and León can return as soon as possible to the path of job creation and economic growth. In addition, the counselor pointed out, this crisis can also be an opportunity; For this reason, we must be able to promote and favor the changes we need in our production model with our public employment policies.

Ana Carlota Amigo has asked all the members of the Social Dialogue for generosity and co-responsibility to reach an agreement as soon as possible that will help overcome the great economic and labor challenges left by the health crisis. Today more than ever – the counselor said – Social Dialogue must be an instrument at the service of citizens.

Finally, Amigo has committed and has asked all members of the Social Dialogue to make an effort to be able to close an agreement as soon as possible, in order to offer companies and workers, as soon as possible, the necessary instruments to maintain employment and create new job opportunities. At the same time, the Social and Economic Agents and the Government of Castilla y León will continue to advance in the negotiation of the III Integrated Employment Strategy in line with the Spanish Strategy for Active Support for Employment 21-24, which is also negotiated at the national level.
