Gigi Birofio talks about his earnings. The successful trash star and influencer doesn’t have to do much to fill his account.
Gigi Birofio started his career on dating shows and last made the leap to the jungle camp in January. Through his TV appearances, he accumulated numerous followers on Instagram, and the 23-year-old is now followed by 435,000 internet users. This trajectory is like many other celebs who climb through trash formats and social media presence. But how lucrative is this business?
“It’s awesome”
Birofio has now talked about finances with rtl.de and says about fees for taking part in the show: “You can say almost 100,000, roughly, but I have to pay a little tax, then I also have to give something to the manager.” He doesn’t reveal how much he can really keep from the sum in the end, just says: “When I think about it – I go to a show and Dad has to work for two years. That’s wow and I say: Thank you God, thank you that I have the chance.”
Maintaining his social media career is no less profitable. “If you have 400,000 followers, then you get between 6,000 and 7,000 euros for a post – but of course it depends on the company. For an advertising post on Instagram.”
He also describes what the whole thing looks like: “A bit of influencer life, take a few photos, tell what I ate today, then I’ll tell tomorrow what I ate, what I ate the day after tomorrow …” But the work is not easy, he says – obviously with a wink: “You always have to keep your hands up. Sometimes I’m in a lot of pain because I always have my phone up. It’s not an easy job.”
