Today, our first judo team concludes its internal camp in Abu Dhabi, in preparation for the trip to the Japanese capital, Tokyo, tomorrow, Monday, to participate in the Tokyo Grand Slam tournament, which will be held on December 3rd and 4th. and the conclusion of the participation of the first judo team during the current year will be the “Master” tournament for Judo, which will be held in Jerusalem from 20 to 22 December, at the conclusion of the International Judo Federation Championships for the 2022 season. -2023.
The team delegation is led by Nasser Al-Tamimi, Secretary General of the Federation and Treasurer of the International Judo Federation, and 5 players are: Dzasvili Guram in the weight category under 66 kg, and our rookie player Saeed Al-Naqbi participates a in competitions under 73 kg, Tilal Ashvili in the weight category under 81 kg and Gorigorian Aram in competitions With a weight of less than 90 kg, player Dhofar Kosovo is under 100 kg.
The Tokyo Grand Slam has so far involved 50 countries, including 5 Arabs, led by the UAE team, as well as teams from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and the Egyptian team is participating with 9 players.
