Lebanese director and artist Zeina Makki monitored her suffering after breaking the plates and screws that stabilized her spine, and she said through her personal account on Instagram: “On the first day of October 2023… I directed a short film that I wanted to dedicate to the people who suffer in silence, those who suffer from pain.” “With health conditions, I wanted to give a little hope to many people.”
Makki continued: “That is why I love my work because I am able to express myself through writing, photography and dancing, so I wanted to dedicate it specifically to those who suffer from curvature of the spine or who, like me, had to stabilize their spine with iron skewers and screws.”
She continued: “Then my heart broke on the seventh of October and continues to break until today. I felt the absurdity of my condition and my pain in front of what is happening… in front of the massacres, death, and body parts.”
