In the fifth season of the show, the duo Gita and Reinis Reimani want to try their hand at it. Both also competed in the first season of the show, but each in their own group.
“The first season, “X Factor”, other groups – I’m a guy in the group “The Stones”, Gitiņa – “Hypnotic”. That event ended, but it didn’t end for us!” Reinis reveals in the selection.
“We are from Ventspils, we have been married for two years and our daughter is also two years old!” echoes Gita.
In the selection, they performed Aminata’s song “Over all misfortunes”. The performance was well received by all four judges and the duo advanced to the next round.
Reinis Sējans, their mentor from the first season, admits: “Of course, I feel very happy to meet you again and to see how your voices are intertwined. I want to say that it is quite a complicated process to connect your voices together like that. It was very nice to listen to how you’re crocheting those braces together!”
