The journalist made himself out to be Ziobro’s victim and left. Now the police are looking for him

The journalist went abroad, the police are looking for him

Adam Bysiek is a young journalist who was heavily involved on the opposition side online before the parliamentary elections. He actively participates in discussions on social media. It turns out that in the meantime he fled the police abroad and is wanted by the criminal department of the Tarnów city police station. This is a crime under Article 286, paragraph 1: “whoever, in order to gain financial benefit, causes another person to dispose of their own or someone else’s property in an unfavourable way by misleading them or by exploiting their error or inability to properly understand the action being taken, shall be subject to a penalty of imprisonment from 6 months to 8 years”.

Ziobro and the new judges are after the wanted man

The scandal in which Bysiek got entangled was tracked down by Telewizja Republika. Sensing that everything would come to light, the editor issued a statement in which he emphasized that he was being prosecuted on political orders by Zbigniew Ziobro. – It is related to my adolescence, when I made many mistakes that I corrected, and it goes back over 10 years. Together with the attorney representing me, we have been striving for a long time to finally end it for the second time, because it was originally already ended by a final decision of the District Court in Warsaw, in my favor – wrote Bysiek.

– Being aware that until August 12, 2024, mainly neo-judges work and adjudicate in the Court of Appeal in Warsaw. Together with my attorney, I did not file an appeal due to the certainty that the case would again go to a neo-judge – assessed the editor. – As a citizen and journalist, from the very beginning I have hoped that the long-awaited changes in the Polish judiciary, which are now coming into force, will contribute to the fact that I will be able to count on a substantive, fair and impartial conclusion to my case – added the journalist wanted on an arrest warrant.

– In short: Ziobro persecuted him, so now, in free Poland, the police are looking for him. And independent citizen journalism is synonymous with basic fraud – Patryk Słowik, a journalist from wp.pl, commented on Bysiek’s statement.
