The journalist Gustavo Gómez criticized the policies of the social network Twitter, after a new block of his account

After a new closure of his social network, the director of the program ‘Hoy por hoy’ of Caracol Radio, Gustavo Gómez, indicated that he does not understand the policies and parameters that this social network uses to block, since apparently, on account After the publication of a video, the journalist lost control of his account.

Gómez, who took his Instagram profile to publicize what happened, revealed, through an image, that in the last hours his Twitter account was suspended:

“I do not threaten, I do not slander, I do not put bloody videos, I do not call people terrorists or fascists, I do not show my private parts or promote myself sexually, I do not persecute, I do not cheat … ”, alluding to the fact that he does not understand why Twitter has that logic for blocking accounts.

Also, in the image of this message, the journalist expressed with a text what he believes would be his possible sin that violated the rules of the social network.

“My sin: I recorded a video on the street of a person with loud music and asked to put this ear polluter on his waist. And the bullies of Twitter, in that excess of zeal that is rather their cowardly policy of legal matters, they suspend me because the owner of the rights of the song that was playing in the background believes that I am profiting. In a contest of assholes, the people in charge of Twitter take the first prize without hesitation. I understand that they attend to copyright claims, but using their heads and not their legs ”, the journalists said on his Instagram.

This would not be the first time that the renowned journalist has been blocked from this social network, since on February 18 he also kept his account blocked, which gave learn of the fact in an editorial in which he denounced the reasons why his account, with more than 500,000 followers, was intervened, supposedly for breaking the rules of the social network.

At the time, according to Gómez, it would have been a copyright problem; but the alleged evidence used by Twitter does not convince the journalist. “At dawn, while I was sleeping, they sent a suspension notice for copyright infringement”, the journalist said in his editorial on Thursday morning.

When reviewing, the communicator realized that it was a video of the announcers of La Luciérnaga in 2018. The company attached links to other videos that were not owned by Gómez, and that he commented or replied. In addition, the director of the Caracol news program assured that Twitter wants to prosecute him. According to the editorial, the company incurs “Legal threats and requests that I choose a place in the world to bring myself to justice.”

Despite the complaint by Twitter, according to what the journalist expressed on the radio program he directs, he suspects that it could be a possible attack by “bodegas” with alleged political interests who made several complaints on the account generating an automatic closure.

The journalist, in his radio strip, argues that he does not incur negative acts and that they give better treatment to international terrorist groups. “I do not teach how to make Molotov cocktails on Twitter, nor do I invite to meetings of supremacy groups: I only give my opinion and report, and if on any occasion a few seconds of a song slip, it is the right to quote protected by all laws: nor use complete songs, I don’t profit ”, Gomez said.
