The “José Bohr” Municipal Theater Orchestra will hold an audition for the opening of the quotas

The Municipality of Punta Arenas will hold an audition to be part of the “José Bohr” Municipal Theater Orchestra, as part of the opening of new quotas available in different instruments.

This was reported by the orchestra director, Sergio Pérez Bontes, indicating that the audition for the new members will include string instruments (violin, viola, cello and double bass); Woods (oboe, flute, clarinet and bassoon); Bronzes (Horn, Trombone and Tuba); and percussion.

The audition is scheduled for this Friday, September 23, at 19:00, at the “José Bohr” Municipal Theater in Punta Arenas, and will be held according to the order of arrival.

The José Bohr Municipal Theater Orchestra is an inclusive orchestra, made up of volunteers who develop their lives in different areas and with different professions, who put their talent at the disposal of this group, full of youth and experience.

It is directed by Sergio Pérez Bontes, a music graduate from the University of Chile, a composer and a Master in Sound Art from the University of Barcelona. He is currently an academic at the University of Magallanes and conducts the José Bohr Orchestra of the Municipal Theater of Punta Arenas.
