One of the three political forces forming the government – the “United List” – distances itself from the decision of Finance Minister Arvil Asheraden (“Jaunā Vienotība”) to reinstate the Director General of the State Revenue Service (SRS), Ieva Jaunzemi, reports LSM.
This is what Edgars Tavars, the leader of the political power Saeima faction, stated on Monday after the cooperation meeting of the coalition.
The “United List”, taking into account the scandals that have occurred in the SRS, as well as the situation in the shadow economy and the way the SRS deals with it, wants to hear Asheraden’s explanations about how the service will work further.
The Minister of Finance decided on Jaunzeme’s reinstatement last week, at the same time reprimanding her for late completion of the tasks given by the Minister of Finance.
