Jakarta –
Traffic jams occurred on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) toll road heading to Cikampek tonight. There are a number of vehicle density points along the toll road.
“For density on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, it’s because of the density of vehicle volume,” said the official call center Jasa Marga, Fajar, when contacted at 21.55 WIB, Friday (17/2/2023).
The first point of congestion is in the East Karawang area. At this point the speed of the vehicle faltered along 1 kilometer.
“Jakarta is heading to Cikampek around Karawan Timur, more or less up to about km 53 or so. The previous density was km 52 to 53,” he said.
Traffic jams also occur in West Karawang, namely Km 49 from Jakarta to Cikampek. The congestion at this point was caused by a meeting with vehicles coming down from the MBZ Elevated Toll Road.
Another congestion point is around Central Cikarang Km 37. The congestion at this point is only about 1 km.
“For Cikarang, it is more or less around Central Cikarang at Km 37 for Central Cikarang, approximately 37 just before leaving Central Cikarang,” he said.
Fajar said that traffic jams did not occur on the Japek toll road from Cikampek to Jakarta. The traffic flow on that route is said to be still busy smoothly.
“For now, the opposite direction still tends to be busy, smoothly heading to Jakarta,” he added.
