The Jacket Featured in 1984 Pepsi Commercial and Other Music Memorabilia for Auction

The jacket was featured in a Pepsi commercial in 1984 and is one of more than 200 pieces of music memorabilia for sale.

The black and white leather jacket, which was made especially for Jackson as part of this promotion, is being auctioned for between £200,000 and £400,000 (approximately €230,000 to €460,000).

It appeared in the first episode of a series of commercials for the soft drink featuring Michael Jackson.

These commercials are memorable, mainly because Jackson’s hair caught fire and he suffered burns during one of the shots due to a pyrotechnic malfunction. But that time he was wearing a different jacket.

Costume and props distribution company Propstore will auction both this jacket and George Michael’s La Rocka jacket, which he wore in 1987 when he performed a duet with Aretha Franklin.

Also up for auction is a beehive wig worn by Amy Winehouse in the 2007 video for ‘You Know I’m No Good’ from her latest album ‘Back To Black’.

Other memorabilia to be auctioned includes David Bowie, Elvis Presley and The Beatles.
