The Ivace enables three channels of communication with London to advise companies on Brexit

He Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (Ivace) has enabled three communication channels with its London antenna to advise and help the companies of the Valencian Community to know in detail the situation created after the end, on January 1, of the transition period for the departure of the United Kingdom from the single market of the European Union, as reported by the Valencian Government in a statement.

Likewise, they are accompanied to continue exporting their products to the British market after Brexit. The general director of Internationalization, Maria Dolores Parra, has highlighted the importance of offering companies “first-hand value-added information” so that “they can maintain their presence in a market that has traditionally remained the fifth destination for exports from the Valencian Community worldwide.”

“From Ivace we want to help companies to face the new situation that the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union implies and therefore, we have enabled three contact channels with our antenna in London,” he indicated.

Companies can contact by phone 96 120 96 00, either by videoconference through the Contact service (periodic video calls with the Foreign Network), as well as through the e.mail [email protected].

In addition, at the Brexit Attention Point of the Ivace website, companies can consult reports on the impact of the same on commercial relations or useful links for the development of export operations to the United Kingdom, the regional administration has added.

The Generalitat has indicated that the information is “an essential asset in the current situation” because, “regardless of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement signed, as of January 1, movements are subject to customs procedures and controls.”

To minimize the impact on the country’s economy, the UK government has made the decision to introduce border controls on controlled products in a staggered manner over three stages until July 1, 2021 (January, April and July). .

Workshops

Thus, the Secretary of State for Trade –through ICEX Spain Export and Investments–, the Chambers of Commerce of the Valencian Community and the Ivace have launched a cycle of virtual workshops on the main changes that the exit of the United Kingdom of the European Union for the interests of Valencian companies.

In the first workshop, held last week, the system developed by the United Kingdom to carry out these controls was explained.
