The second instance of this cycle co-managed between the Knowledge Park and the Provincial Institute of Independent Theater -IPTI-, is taking place this weekend with the works Esquizophrenia del Arte (Friday at 8:00 p.m. at the Teatro Lyrical) and Bad Words (Sunday at 5 pm at the Prose Theater) with free admission. Both works are recommended for adolescent and adult audiences.
Art Schizophrenia is about a character, a clown, and his two faces in an unmissable clownesque show. The play was written, directed and performed by the same author Jonathan Vázquez who defines himself as a person in love with the art of clowning.
In this way, he expressed his happiness and gratitude to the IPTI: “I am very happy, very excited, the work always excites me and I enjoy doing it a lot, so I am deeply grateful to the IPTI that gave me the opportunity to be here”, Vazquez commented.
The work shows the inner universe of a clown who suffers from bipolar disorder, one of the phases of schizophrenia. An eternal battle between good and evil, between the systematic, cold, emotional and affectionate of each one. Boogie (the bad part) devises a plan to be able to separate from Hoogie (the good part) giving rise to a magical journey, full of laughter and heart palpitations, using weapons such as truth, memories, crossing the waves of love, freedom, art and death.
