The Israeli army destroyed 12 battalions of the radical Hamas movement in the north of the Gaza Strip. SIA reports with reference to foreign media that the Minister of Defense of the country Yoav Galant said this during his visit to the Palestinian enclave.
“We destroyed 12 Hamas battalions in the north of the Gaza Strip. Of the 15,000 or 18,000 terrorists in this area, only a few thousand remain. A large number of terrorists were destroyed, and some fled to the south,” he said.
“Here (in the north of the Gaza Strip – ed.) we will act tactically through firepower, maneuvers, special operations, and if necessary, we will keep this area under control for a while,” continued the head of the Israeli Defense Ministry.
He noted that “the goal is to exhaust and destroy Hamas terrorists.”
