The Israeli army announces the killing of an officer and two soldiers in Gaza

Hezbollah announced today (Tuesday) that it had targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers at the Ruwaisat al-Asi site on the southern border of Lebanon with “appropriate weapons,” confirming that it had achieved “direct hits,” according to what the Central News Agency reported from a party statement.

He also announced that he had targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the Tahihat triangle with appropriate weapons, noting that direct hits had been achieved.

In the morning, the surroundings of the towns of Shihin and Al-Jebin in the Tire district (southern Lebanon) were subjected to Israeli artillery shelling this morning (Tuesday), according to what the Lebanese National News Agency reported.

Israeli army artillery also targeted the outskirts of the towns of Ramiya, Aita al-Shaab, and the eastern outskirts of the town of Naqoura, according to the Central News Agency.

The surroundings of the towns of Ramiya, Al-Quzah, Alma Al-Shaab, Ayta Al-Shaab, Jabal Barkat Risha, and the entrance to the town of Al-Bustan were subjected to Israeli artillery shelling at approximately one o’clock after midnight, local time.

Before midnight last night, Israeli warplanes raided the outskirts of the town of Naqoura, Jabal al-Labouneh, and Jabal al-Alam, and fired bursts of heavy weapons towards the vicinity of its positions in Birkat Risha and the town of Ramiya.

Israeli reconnaissance aircraft also flew throughout last night and until this morning, over the villages of the western and central sectors, all the way to the Litani River and up to the towns of Ghandouriya and Faron (southern Lebanon).

The Israeli army fired flares, especially over the sea coast south of Tire and above the Blue Line in the western and central sectors.

The towns of the Marjayoun District also experienced a harsh night, as the Israeli army raided, around midnight, the vicinity of Tallet Al-Awaidah between Kafr Kila and Al-Adisa, and bombed with heavy artillery shells and flares and phosphorus bombs the surroundings of Blida, the Marjayoun Plain, Hamams in Sarda, Al-Khiyam, Tallet Al-Awaidah, Adisa, and Tallet Al-Azziyah in Dermamas, causing damage to shops. And the houses in these towns and a big fire in Tallet Al-Awaidah.

Israeli aircraft flew over the towns of Marjayoun throughout last night and until this morning at low altitude.

In a related context, the Israeli Public Broadcasting Authority reported, on Monday-Tuesday night, that “missiles launched from Lebanon struck an Israeli military site that was supposed to be fortified and protected,” according to Al Markazia.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported on its account on the “X” platform that severe damage was caused to the military site.

She added that this happened, even though the site was supposed to be protected from attacks like this.

The Israeli media did not explain the nature of this site, nor the nature of the fortifications located there.

She stated that the military establishment and security services in Israel are investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Last night, 20 missiles were launched from southern Lebanon, at the Upper Galilee region in northern Israel.

These missiles fell near the Shomera settlement, adjacent to the border with Lebanon, according to Israeli media.

Neither Hezbollah nor any Palestinian faction has claimed responsibility for the rocket launch so far.

Almost daily exchanges of shelling erupted across the Lebanese-Israeli border between the army, Hezbollah, and armed Palestinian factions in Lebanon following the outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip on October 7 last year.
