1-1 after the first period gave Boston some hope, but three goals scored in just over ten minutes in the second period shattered the semifinal dream. Islanders Brock Nelson fixed both 2-1 and 3-1, after passes by Josh Bailey. A few minutes later, Kyle Palmieri managed to step in 4-1.
