The Islamic State focuses on the Champions League quarterfinal matches as the target of a terrorist attack. Late this Monday, the Al-Azaim Foundation and Sarh al-Khilafah, media related to the jihadists, have shared several images in which the stadiums in which the matches of the European football competition will take place, located in London, Paris and Madrid, next to the text: “kill them all.”
Specifically, the poster threatens the Santiago Bernabéu, which will host the match between Real Madrid and Manchester City this Tuesday; the Emirates Stadium, where Arsenal-Bayern Munich will be played; the Civitas Metropolitano, which hosts the match between Atlético de Madrid and Borussia Dortmund; and the Parc des Princes, where the match between PSG and FC Barcelona will take place. That is, the attacks could take place in three of the main European capitals.

In the image they have used to make the threat, a man appears with his face covered holding a rifle, next to the name of the four stadiums that will host the European competition matches and the slogan “kill them all.” The warning has put the authorities of the different threatened countries on alert, who will take the appropriate measures for this type of situation.
The matches that will take place in the Spanish capital, Real Madrid-Manchester City and Atlético de Madrid-Borussia Dortmund, had already been declared high risk by the Anti-Violence Commission. For this reason, the Madrid Government Delegation had decided to activate security devices made up of almost 1,900 troops in the first match, and 1,275 troops in the second, given that the presence of 8,000 fans is expected, including those of the English team and those of the German team. .
This threat adds to the one on March 30, when the media outlet Sarh al-Khilafah, affiliated with ISIS, published an image in which it encouraged attacks on the public present at the match between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, played at the Allianz Arena, in Munich. “Officials intensely assessed the situation. There are currently no indications of a serious danger situation. However, the Police presence will be increased at this afternoon’s game. Around 100 emergency forces were supposed to be on the scene, but now they will be reinforced with additional officers,” a police spokesperson told German media T-Online.
Attack in Moscow
A few weeks ago, on March 22, the Islamic State claimed responsibility for an attack on a nightclub located on the outskirts of the Russian capital, Moscow, where more than 140 people died and more than 200 were injured. Several armed men, dressed in camouflage uniforms, broke into the Crocus City Hall party room and fired automatic weapons at those present.
The Islamic State itself released an image with the four alleged perpetrators of the attacks through the Amaq agency, the organization’s main propaganda channel. In the photograph, the alleged perpetrators appear with half their faces covered, a cap and their eyes pixelated in front of an Islamic State flag.
