It is common knowledge that Apple takes most of its profits from the mobile sector, and the same goes for all sectors. hardware in which the Cupertino company offers products for sale (Mac, iPad, AirPods, Apple Watch, etc.). What we know a little less, however, is that Apple dominates the mobile sector almost as much in terms of revenue. Counterpoint Research has done its little calculations and concludes that Apple has even increased its share of the overall mobile sector revenue. In Q3 2021, this share was 37.1% (which is already huge) and it rises to 42% in Q3 2022! Samsung is far behind (18% of mobile sector revenue, and Xiaomi has to settle for an 8.3% share).
In a difficult global context, Apple has managed to increase its revenue by 10% in one year (in the iPhone division) and the average purchase price of an iPhone by 7%. It should be noted that 5G-compatible smartphones now account for 80% of the sector’s turnover (69% last year in Q3)
