The iPhone 17 is rumored to be getting a big screen upgrade! But Face ID under the screen may have to wait.

For those who drive iPhone 16 Recently there is a rumor from Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants that iPhone 17 series All four models (iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Slim, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max) will receive a major screen upgrade next year. The details are as follows.

iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim will finally get 120Hz screens!

After Apple limited refresh rate screens to Pro models for a long time, the iPhone 17 will finally use a 120Hz LTPO OLED screen, which can change the refresh rate as low as 1Hz, helping to save power ( a new model for the iPhone 16 Plus) also uses the 120Hz LTPO screen.

Face ID under the screen may not have come to the iPhone 17 Pro yet.

Previously, there were rumors that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max would come with Face ID under the screen, which would make the Dynamic Island disappear or change its shape, but Ross Young recently deleted that post. Due to confusion in the response, it is expected that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will not yet use Face ID technology under the screen.

However, this is just a rumor. We have to wait to follow the official news from Apple again.
