DxOMark has released a comprehensive review of the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max’s camera capabilities. Featuring a 48MP main sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 12MP telephoto lens, the smartphone has been tested in detail to assess its performance in different shooting conditions.
Here’s what we know
The iPhone 16 Pro Max scored 157 points, placing it fourth among Ultra Premium smartphones. It was behind models such as the Honor Magic 6 Pro, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Huawei Pura 70 Ultra.
- Video: The iPhone 16 Pro Max performs well in video thanks to its good stabilization, low-light capability, and accurate color reproduction.
- Photos: Although the smartphone does not rank first in the photo ranking, it still offers excellent quality, especially in different lighting conditions. The autofocus is fast and accurate, and the colors are natural.
- Zoom: While the iPhone 16 Pro Max has good zoom capabilities, image quality deteriorates noticeably when zooming in more than twice. The ultra-wide sensor, despite its high resolution, doesn’t provide the same detail as the main sensor.
