Jakarta (ANTARA) – The iPhone 15 series has finally arrived, and one of the most striking changes is the use of a USB-C port. With this change, users can now use the same cable to charge their iPhones and other devices, such as laptops and tablets.
However, the iPhone 15’s charging speed is still slower than most Android phones. Even so, the USB-C port can now produce much more power than the Lightning port. In fact, this port can produce up to 4.5 watts, more than 15 times the power of a Lightning port.
In comparison, an iPhone with a Lightning port can only produce a maximum of 0.3 watts of power.
The higher power output allows the iPhone 15 to power a variety of accessories, such as external storage devices and other devices that require more power. It can even be used to charge other devices, such as AirPods and headphones.
The iPhone 15’s USB-C port also offers faster data transfer speeds than the Lightning port. For example, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max support USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds of up to 10 Gbps when using a USB 3 cable.
This means users can transfer files between iPhone and other devices more quickly.
Additionally, the iPhone 15’s USB-C port supports DisplayPort for 4K HDR video playback and output to external displays.
This is a significant improvement over previous iPhones, which were limited to 1080p video playback with a Lightning adapter. This was broadcast by Gizmochina, Sunday (17/9).
