The iPad Pro with M2 chip still expected this fall

The next iPad Pro revision is still expected this fall, according to Mark Gurman’s sources on Bloomberg. There’s no doubt that the Apple M2 chip pioneered by the new MacBook Air is bound to make its way to the next-generation iPad Pro, but it’s all a matter of timing. There have been rumors of a 14.1″ iPad Pro for early 2023, which could mean Apple has no plans to renew its high-end tablet until then. But according to Mark Gurman, the revision would be well planned for this fall, probably around October.

In terms of new features, the journalist puts forward three main developments: the integration of the Apple M2 chip for more power and durability, the implementation of a wireless charging solution (MagSafe) which could be integrated into the Apple logo on the back of the tablet, and the integration of a better camera system. Some rumors have also mentioned the displacement of Face ID and the webcam on the edge of the tablet to better correspond to uses in landscape mode. Note that the 11″ model could still be without a Mini-LED screen.
