The Managing Director of PT Waskita Karya, Destiawan Soewardjono, visited the DIY Governor’s Office, Thursday (12/11/2020). “Later there will be a Jogja-Bawen toll road project, so we are kulanuwun. Waskita Karya is ready to participate in development in Jogja, “he said.

During his visit, he asked the Governor of Yogyakarta for information, Sri Sultan HB X, regarding the construction that the DIY regional government would undertake, so that his company could prepare the resources needed and in time did not encounter many obstacles.
On another occasion, Waskita Karya projected the potential for business development to reach IDR 92 trillion in the next few years. Destiawan Soewardjono said that the potential for business development in the next five years includes projects in Java, namely infrastructure, connectivity and pipeline worth IDR 49 trillion.
Furthermore, the project potential in East Kalimantan and Sulawesi for connectivity infrastructure and EPC is valued at IDR 20 trillion accompanied by the value of the project developed by a subsidiary of PT Waskita Realty, namely Waskita Modern Realti (West Java).

Waskita, who is part of the consortium together with other state-owned companies, namely Jasa Marga, Adhi Karya, Housing Development, and Brantas Abipraya, is also planning to sign the Jogja – Bawen Toll Road Concession Agreement.
“The 75.8 kilometer toll road project has an investment value of approximately Rp. 14 trillion. Then the total potential business development project is around Rp. 92 trillion,” said Destiawan in Jakarta, Thursday.
Meanwhile, the potential for expansion to foreign markets is projected at Rp71 trillion, including to the Middle East, Africa and the potential markets of Southeast Asia and South Asia.

This year, Waskita Karya is targeting a new contract value of IDR 26.8 trillion. As of October, the achievement of new contracts reached Rp. 15 trillion. The biggest gain in new contract value comes from the construction of toll roads, dams, irrigation, coastal strengthening in DKI, Sewerage in Jambi and buildings.
Waskita Karya has six business lines, namely construction, investment which consists of toll roads, realty and non-toll road infrastructure. On the other hand, the company also has business lines in the industrial sector, namely precast concrete and steel fabrication. The six business lines are supported by subsidiaries such as Waskita Toll Road, Waskita Karya Realty, Waskita Beton Precast and Waskita Karya Infrastruktur.
