Tim Berners-Lee pushed on the auction house Sotheby’s NFT Internet, which includes four parts.
Bidding will begin on June 23rd. The starting price of the lot is $ 1000. All proceeds from the sale will go to support the initiatives that Berners Lee and his wife are sponsoring.
“Three decades ago, I created something that, with the help of a huge number of employees around the world, became a powerful tool for humanity. <...> NFTs, whether they are artwork or similar digital artifacts, are the latest creations in the field and the most appropriate means of ownership in existence, “said Tim.
The NFT of the Internet consists of four parts: the original time-stamped files containing the source code Tim wrote; animated code rendering; a letter written by Tim reflecting on the code and the process of creating it, and a digital poster of the complete code generated from source files using Python and signed by Berners-Lee.
