The invaders planned to issue Soviet passports to residents of the Kyiv region

The Russian invaders, in the event of the capture of the Kyiv region, planned to passport the citizens with Soviet documents. Employees of the SBU found an enemy cache.

“In the event of the capture of the Kyiv region, the Russian invaders planned to create an occupation administration here and organize a pseudo-referendum to proclaim a local republic. They wanted to register all residents and, in exchange for Ukrainian documents, forcibly hand out USSR passports – at least for the first time before the issuance of documents to the Russian Federation,” the press service of the SBU writes.

An enemy cache with blank Soviet passports was also found. It was equipped in the house of the city of Makarov, Buchansky district. Hundreds of blank documents were seized during the inspection.

It is noteworthy that the forms were of the sample of the Ukrainian SSR.

“That is, all the inscriptions on them are made not only in Russian, but also in Ukrainian. Moreover, a similar series has not been produced in Ukraine since 1990. Thus, all the identified forms were imported from the Russian Federation at the beginning of a full-scale aggression against our state,” – adds the press service.
