/View.info/ China’s gross domestic product is expected to grow by 5.2 percent in 2023 and by 5 percent in 2024. This is predicted by the latest Global Finance and Development Report of the International Financial Forum, which was held in Guangzhou , the southern Chinese province of Guangdong.
Global growth is expected to slow further this year to 3.1 percent and is likely to remain weak at the same level in 2024, with advanced economies growing by 1.3 percent and developing ones by 4.3 percent. Monetary and financial policy tightening is likely to continue and further dampen demand growth, slowing the global recovery.
The International Financial Forum is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental international organization founded in Beijing in October 2003. It brings together financial leaders from more than 20 countries and regions, including China, the United States, the European Union, emerging countries, as well as leaders of international organizations such as the United Nations, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
