Interior Minister (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian strongly reprimanded Regent of the Meranti Islands, Muhammad Adil. This strong rebuke was the consequence of Adil’s statement about “The Ministry of Finance contains devils or demons”.
Information about Tito’s strong rebuke to Adil was conveyed by the Secretary General (General Secretary) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Suhajar Diantoro. Adil asked to act like a statesman.
“The home affairs minister strongly rebuked and stressed that as a regional head, whatever the issue, he must use ethical language and show state ability,” Suhajar said in a written statement on Tuesday (12/13/2022).
The harsh rebuke was uttered when Handsome Regent comply with the request of the Ministry of the Interior. Adil finally arrived at the Ministry of Home Affairs office around 10.30 AM WIB on Monday (12/12).
Suhajar admitted that he also gave advice Adile maintain communication ethics. Suhajar regretted that Adil’s attitude and statement were inappropriate for a public official.
“What is the concern and hope of the regent of the Meranti Islands can actually be communicated and resolved properly, so as not to cause uproar in the community,” said Suhajar.
Suhajar conveyed that regional leaders must be able to maintain ethics, even in speaking, even if they have different opinions or viewpoints with other parties. This is important to realize and to do in the midst of easy access to information today.
“We hope all of us, especially the regional bosses, can take lessons and lessons from this incident, and make ourselves better and perform better,” said Suhajar.
The Ministry of Home Affairs will also facilitate further meetings and discussions between the Meranti Islands Regency Government and the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), as well as with other related parties regarding the sharing funds oil and gas production (DBH). The interior ministry party that will close the gap is the director general of higher education.
“We will facilitate it so that DBH issues can be resolved properly,” Suhajar explained.
