Riyadh: The inter-school football tournaments organized by the Gulf Sahodaya Saudi Chapter Central Zone have started in Riyadh. 11 teams from different schools participate. The matches will be held at the Riyadh Wadi Hanifa stadium.
Gulf Sahodaya president and Delhi public school principal Miraj Muhammad Khan inaugurated the event. School principal Yara Azima Saleem, school principal Alyasmin Dr. SM Shaukat Parvez, principal of Indian international school in Riyadh Meera Rahman and principal of Indian international public school Muhammad Imran spoke.
On the opening day there were three Under 19 and two Under 17 matches. The Yarra School and Public School teams attended the first match in the Under 19 category. The public school won with two goals to one.
In the second game, Alyasmin School beat Delhi Public School with a one-way goal. In the third game, the Al-Alia School defeated the New Middlemost School. In the Under 17 category, International Indian Public School beat Al-Alia School to win. Alif School won by defeating Modern Middleest School. The final will be played on Wednesday.
