The Insurance Council answers: Is it the duty of the employer to provide insurance for his employees?

The Health Insurance Council announced that it is the duty of all employers to provide insurance coverage to all their employees, whether Saudis or non-Saudis.

This was proof of the employer’s commitment to providing full health protection to his employees, as this commitment includes all employees regardless of their nationality.

In response to a follower’s inquiry through the Council’s account on the X platform, the Council explained that insurance coverage extends to family members of employees covered by the system.

This cover includes wives and male children until they reach the age of 25, as well as unmarried and non-working girls, which guarantees them the necessary health care.

With this decision, the Health Insurance Council seeks to strengthen the commitment to provide comprehensive health care to all employees and their families, with the goal of achieving a healthy and safe work environment.
