Dr. Jad Al-Qadi, head of the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research, commented on the frequent occurrence of earthquakes during the recent period, in a number of Egyptian cities.

In the early hours of Friday morning, residents of Cairo and some governorates felt an earthquake, which was confirmed by the sources of the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research.

The judge said in a statement to Masrawy, on Friday, that the earthquakes that occur from time to time, regardless of their strength and locations, are completely normal and within their scope, and there is nothing to worry about citizens.

The head of the Astronomy Institute stated that, according to the data that was monitored and recorded daily, there are no earthquakes outside the range, adding: “There is no cause for concern.”

The National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research announced this morning, Friday, that the stations of the National Earthquake Monitoring Network affiliated with the institute recorded an earthquake 27 kilometers north of Suez Governorate.
