He and his girlfriend shared a meal Monday at Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles restaurant in southern Los Angeles. It was here that the offender appeared and asked the artist for jewelry and other valuables, before opening fire, police chief Michel Moore explains to the Los Angeles Times.
He explains that the rapper was attacked shortly after being tagged on social media as a guest at the restaurant. They are now investigating whether this may have a connection with the author’s appearance.
The girl is said to have tagged him in a photo on Instagram, which has now been removed.
Transported to the hospital
Police explained that PnB Rock, whose real name is Rakim Allen, was shot at shortly after the robber tried to steal valuables he was wearing.
– He shot the victim and ran out a side door of the parking lot, police officer Kelly Muniz explained Monday.
He says Allen was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead there at 1:59 pm (US time), about an hour after the accident.
According to witnesses the LA Times spoke to, police are working to obtain surveillance videos from the restaurant and nearby offices and businesses.

PnB Rock started making music at the age of 19. In an interview with Paper magazine, he said it was Drake’s album “Take Care” that inspired him.
