JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com– Revealing the story behind the ‘Hitman: David Foster and Friends’ concert, singer Putri Ariani said that David Foster had her voice tested.
Putri Ariani, who made it to the final round of America’s Got Talent 2023, admitted that she cried after being accompanied by David Foster’s piano playing.
“The first time Putri was really crying in her room, there was David Foster testing Putri for this song, this song,” said Putri, quoted from Putri Ariani’s YouTube.
“After the test, it was like rubbing my eyes, it was really like there were onions in my eyes, because I was so happy, so grateful, Thank God Allah answered Putri’s prayer,” he added.

The moment that moved Putri to tears was when David Foster tested Putri’s voice before the ‘Hitman: David Foster and Friends’ concert.
Accompanying Putri singing on the keyboard, David, who had been a judge on Asia’s Got Talent for five years, occasionally looked at Putri.
“Good job,” praised David Foster.
“I think he’s great. His voice is very good, he’s only 17 years old,” continued David Foster, who this time was talking to Peabo Bryson.
Peabo looked surprised when he heard the fact that Putri was only 17 years old.

“17 years old? He’s still a baby,” said Peabo, which made Putri chuckle.
David also joked with Putri and said that he really liked to joke, before finally praising Putri’s voice again.
“Very good, really very good,” praised David again after hearing Putri sing the songs “I Will Always Love You” and “All By Myself”.
The daughter who received praise from the singer she had idolized since childhood did not hide her happiness.
“When we met, it really felt like a dream,” said Putri.
“Because Putri was able to meet and be accompanied by him. I think this is one of the greatest things, the most beautiful things I have had this year,” he continued.
It is known that Putri Ariani has currently passed the final round of America’s Got Talent.
During the audition, Putri Ariani’s voice managed to melt the heart of one of the America’s Got Talent judges, Simon Cowell, who is known for being tough on the participants and even wanted to give the ‘golden buzzer’ to Putri.
