Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi affirmed that the support of the wise leadership of the UAE and its confidence in the capabilities of Emirati women since its establishment is what helped it raise its status and enhance its inspiring role as a pioneering model to follow in leadership, will, giving and efficiency.
This came during the “We Share for Tomorrow” event organized by the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council in cooperation with the Department of Economic Development, First Abu Dhabi Bank and Abu Dhabi Global Market, to celebrate the achievements of Emirati women and shed light on their pivotal role in society, sustainable development and all fields of life.
Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna began her speech by extending her thanks and gratitude to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chair of the Family Development Foundation, the first pioneer in empowering women and society, and for the wise leadership.
Her Excellency pointed out that Emirati women have proven themselves in all sectors and fields at the level of holding major positions and the highest ranks, developing their own projects and raising the next generation of future youth.
Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi noted that the positive and tangible impact of Emirati women in her field of work is what prompts her to contribute to leading the forward-looking journey of the UAE, and that the position of women in the Emirates is clear and well-established and enjoys positive global appreciation, and this is represented in the large presence of women within the UAE team in The upcoming COP28 conference, and the active participation of UAE girls in international forums and events, who are considered the best ambassadors for the country that has always been a sponsor and incubator of the most prominent competencies and creative cadres.
The event witnessed the organization of a discussion session that brought together a group of women entrepreneurs who distinguished themselves in the business world, and they are: Maryam Al Mansouri, General Manager of Rebound Limited Limited, Reem Al Junaibi, a technical entrepreneur and founder of the Stellr platform, and creative artist Afra Al Dhaheri. For her part, Asma Al Fahim, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council, confirmed that, under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation “Mother of the Emirates”, the Council focuses through its various initiatives on encouraging Supporting women to enter the labor market through medium, small and micro projects, and expanding the scope of women’s participation in economic development through entrepreneurship, as a major contributor to the comprehensive economic development of the UAE and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
